Known for her electric stage presence and performance, Sydney Blu is the best female (Joanne Hill) Techno DJ in the business. Born in Ontario, she developed a liking for dance music. In 2000, she turned down a job at Walt Disney's Epcot Center Globe in Orlando, Florida to become a local DJ in Toronto. “I ended up turning down that job to stay in Toronto because I got deep into the club scene. I made friends with loads of DJs and promoters, and eventually started DJing,” says Joanne, in her quietly assured voice. “I was pretty good at building a name for myself and after a while I had a strong following. That’s when Guvernment came knocking and offered me a residency.”

Joanne speaks on her female presence in the industry, “I never played the ‘girl DJ’ card. I had agents offer me the chance to join playboy type DJ agencies, where the girls take their clothes off whilst they DJ,” reveals Sydney. “Some girls do it as a shortcut. I’m not into that. It’s not right to cut corners. Every other DJ out there has to work hard to get noticed for the right reasons, and I wanted to be recognised for my music like everyone else.” She built a global name for herself. House of Elliott (Lee Elliott) is a DJ/Producer from the United Kingdom, whose performance is explosive with a set of purely house music. His style is something like Danny Rampling, Richard F, Full Intention, Ian Carey, Pete Tong, Judge Jules, ATFC, Soul Central, Bobby & Steve, JJK, Jason Herd, Steve Mac, and Mark Robinson. Dj Tiesto, a legendary Dutch DJ, turned trance music into an art form. Not only did he transform trance music for the world, but he was nominated for a Grammy! He is one of the biggest DJ's in the world. Tiesto responds to account his huge success by saying,

DJ Tony Brock, a Techno DJ and producer, has received buzz from Tommy Lee and many other historic musicians in the industry. Since 1992, he has placed over 300 tracks on TV, film, and record projects worldwide. In addition to his talent, he has worked with producers such as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Randy Jackson, Babyface, Richard Perry, Marty Shaaron, Danny Sembello, Antonina Armato, Richard Feldman, Ray Parker, and many more.

He released an album, "Bliss," which features one of his hit songs "Beautiful." He also receives continuous play time on XM, Sirus radio, and over 200 pop and Internet stations worldwide. Armin Van Buuren, an infamous Techno DJ from Holland, is a truly influential trance artist. According to sources, he has won "Best Album" for artist album 'Shivers' at the Dutch Release Dance Awards and the Edison Awards; 'Best Compilation' for 'A State of Trance', in 2006, claiming the 'Best European DJ' award in 2007 and 'Best Mix Radio Show' at the Miami Winter Music Conference 5 years in a row for radio show 'A State of Trance'  now broadcasting on a massive 40 FM stations as well as satellite and Internet radio, with over 10 million listeners a week. On April 2nd, the 7^th edition of Armin’s compilation series will be released on Armada Music. ‘A State of Trance 2010’ represents all quality trance, progressive and other music ahead and on its way of becoming the future favorites of the dance scene.

The Pepper Zoo experienced Van Buuren live at this year's Miami Winter Music Conference, which was awe-inspiring. At first, we were a little unsure about Techno music and how it would appeal to us. But, after  Armin Van Buuren spun one track...we were amazed! He is an artist. Producing the entire presentation takes a great deal of talent. Not only was it entertaining, but it was music that could be felt! Armin Van Buuren says,

The Pepper Zoo recently had the privilege to indulge in Techno music
at Ultra Winter Music Festival. It was a truly memorable experience,
as you can see from our pictures and videos. Carl Cox, an
African-American UK DJ, took over Ultra Winter Music Festival by
claiming his own gigantic tent. He dropped it HARD! Check out our
footage and see how live it really was.

Carl Cox was the first person (let's repeat that: FIRST PERSON) to be
named number one DJ in the world! He began his career as a hardcore
and acid house DJ in the mid-1980s and branded himself as the "Three
Deck Wizard." He has played at The Eclipse, Edge, Shelly's, Stern
Nightclub, Heaven, as well as raves for Fantazia, Dreamscape, and
Amnesia House. Now, he owns two record labels, Intec Records and 23rd
Century Records.
